This IDC study examines how Canadian organizations' attitudes toward wireless security have changed in the past year, if at all, and looks at some of the challenges facing Canadian organizations. Organizations in Canada continue to adopt wireless technologies for the benefits they offer: workforce mobility, improved productivity, and improved efficiencies. However, IT security for wireless technology is the primary inhibitor to adoption.

"Although wireless security is the primary inhibitor to adoption, it does not rank very high as a major issue organizations face. Vendors will need to elevate wireless security in the minds of end users in order to market their wireless security solutions," says Joe Greene, IDC Canada IT security analyst.
