Nuclear Weapons Policy: Confronting Today's Threats is an anthology of serious, scholarly-minded essays concerning the dire questions, "What role should U.S. nuclear weapons play in the world today?" and "How can the United States promote international security while safeguarding its own interests?" Examining changes in the U.S. policy, especially those made by Presidents Bush and Clinton after the cold war, U.S. Nuclear Weapons Policy is a sober and clearheaded examination of American options and obligations, particularly with regard to the demand side of proliferation and reduced reliance on nuclear weapons for foreign policy. Highly recommended for political studies and college library shelves.
