THE KILLING OF OSAMA BIN LADEN is a concise and detail-rich telling of the historic manhunt for the world's number one most-wanted terrorist.
The courier was the key. A mid-level al-Qaeda operative who played a small part in the planning of the 9/11 attacks and was with Bin Laden when he escaped the battle of Tora Bora. Find out who the courier was, and how with one phone call, he eventually led the CIA to Bin Laden's fortress-like mansion in the affluent suburbs of Abbottabad, Pakistan. Years after the trail had gone cold, Osama Bin Laden, was once again within our sights. Finally the largest manhunt in U.S. counterterrorism history was headed to its singular and bloody conclusion if only the President and his team could figure out how to get him before he vanished once again.
The gut punch Osama Bin Laden landed on 9/11 still stings. What he took from country on that terrible day can never be replaced, nor can the lives of the thousands of innocent men, women and children murdered in the name of some crusade. And even though it will still be a long time until we Americans fully heal from the pain of the worst terrorist attacks on our soil, we can rest assured that the man who became the epitome of evil in the modern world will never do this again.
This commemorative ebook edition of the events that led to Bin Laden's death includes details about the courier whose phone call doomed the al-Qaeda leader and the detective work that led the CIA to the front door of his fortress-like mansion compound in an affluent neighborhood of suburban Pakistan.

This might as well have been the actual first person account of the hunting down and subsequent killing of the Nation's, nay World's, Public Enemy #1. Mark Yoshimoto-Nemcoff's has a very detail oriented and compelling view as to how the final solution went down. It's an excellent read. You will not be able to push the "next page" button fast enough.

My pulse is racing!May 10, 2011
By Anthony C. Carcieri Mr. Nemcoff weaves a story so real it feels as though you are part of the inner circle who was there with the President. A fitting tribute to all our fallen heroes, our loved ones, and one that permeates to the very fiber of being an American. I highly recommend this to any American who bare witness to that fateful September morning and has been forever touched. Well done Mr. Nemcoff...well done indeed!

I'm a big fan of Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff's books and once again, I was NOT disappointed. Loved this book! Nemcoff definitely knows how to tell this story in a way that kept me turning pages until it was over. I really enjoyed how the dramatic procession of the facts really made it feel like a thriller that you'd see on the big screen. I could tell he did his research and then some. I was looking for a really good and concise rendering of the facts of this huge world event that wasn't colored with anyone's politics or agenda and this was definitely a great choice. Add The Killing of Osama Bin Laden to your Amazon holiday wish list!!

Creepy...In a good way... Amazing!Nov 22, 2011
By Murdocksgirl I should give a forewarning, I have been a fan of Nemcoff for years (ever since the N1B podcasts). The reason I have been a fan for so long is that he continuely makes/produces/writes extremely interesting things. When I first heard about this i was like "uh....okkkk."
Then I downloaded it. I missed two trains because I couldn't put it down.
A first hand, very diplomatic, tounge in cheek account reviewing the death of Bin laden.
What makes it so interesting is the following:
1) The first person point of view really makes you feel like you are in the White House one second, then out in the sands of the desert in the next page. (Seriously- mark- did you hide in a SEALS unit or what?)
2) Some of the takes/perspectives/views of society.
I am a huge fan of Richard Marchinko (the founder of SEAL Team Six) and to read a book about ST6 that isn't from him ....well it would be jarring. If it were anyone else BUT Nemcoff.
Again, brilliant job sir!
