Description:

The art of surviving a civil breakdown situation hinges upon your preparation before martial law or social chaos erupts, and the specific actions you take in the face of danger.

Specifically, you must have a practical and workable plan of action to protect yourself, your family, and your property. I want to give you an insider’s look at what happens in a crisis, and how to survive when the chips are down and organized gangs or shock troops roam the streets.

We’ve all seen the impact of localized terror at the World Trade Center; the human impact of natural disasters and poor government planning following Hurricane Katrina, and the chaos and violence of rioting in the streets of Los Angeles. Now, imagine this chaos on a national scale.

In this book I discuss the four key elements to surviving social upheaval when others are dying due to lack of shelter, food, water, and security. Intelligent disaster preparedness is something you can do. You do not need a mountain hideout, a ton of money or supplies, or a truckload of guns and ammo.

What you do need is a plan of action, coupled with the will to survive and a minimal cache of food and supplies.

How To Survive A Man Made Disaster: Surviving Martial Law, Social Chaos, Economic Turmoil, And Terrorism In An Angry World contains approximately 20,000 words.

5EVERYONE in the USA should buy this book!Dec 27, 2011

First -- none of us want to believe that a manmade disaster such as Martial Law, Social Chaos, Economic Turmoil or Terrorism could put our day-to-day lives and freedom into peril -- but it could very well happen given the impending terror threats and risks of a national or global financial meltdown. I found Ron Taylor's Kindle book to be tremendously helpful, practical and worthwhile --just in case some of these awful scenarios become reality. We know that terrorism is a real and likely threat we face given 9/11. Then, look at how people have behaved during Katrina and the LA Riots. As Taylor notes, "imagine this chaos on a national scale."

Taylor's book focuses on "four key elements to surviving social upheaval when others are dying due to lack of shelter, food, water and security." His guidance is practical acknowledging that you don't need a mountain hideout, tons of money, or a truckload of guns to survive. What you will need, according to Taylor, is "a plan of action, the will to survive along with a minimal cache of food and supplies." The plan is crucial because as in 9/11, a disaster and chaos could happen very quickly. Is your family (really) prepared when your family members may be at several different locations when chaos hits? Keep in mind phones, communication networks, and electrical systems could be down so you need to know what to do ahead of time.

Interestingly, when I have tried to talk to family members on this subject, they all treat me like I am a loon and roll their eyes at me. Obviously, NONE OF US wants this to happen and we all pray it does not, but to ignore it and pretend that it cannot happen in the near term is a dangerous gamble. For those who don't want to consider these civil threats, perhaps you can treat this book like you do an emergency preparedness plan similar to what a company or organization must have on hand -- however, this preparedness plan is for the most important aspect of your life -- your family. So, I strongly recommend this book and the way the Taylor lays out his practical suggestions. This is not one of those doomsday "the sky is falling" sort of rants. This is a brief, to the point guide that could save your life and your family members as well, should national chaos or a wide-scale disaster or terror attack hit. As Taylor says, "it is not my intention to sound apocalyptic in this book, but I want to encourage you to prepare, even if it means simply storing enough food and water to hole up in your home during a 7-30 day period of social chaos."

Honestly, everyone in the USA should purchase this book (that only costs 99 cents on Kindle) and I suggest Ron Taylor and Amazon make it available in print or .pdf as well.

This guy gets it and he doesnt sound like a freak. He seems more like a good family man who is passionate about being prepared. It's nice to hear good thinkers talk frankly about preparation. I love the term "mall zombies." Now you just need to download the book to get the context of it. ;)

I'm a seasoned corrections employee with several years in a max pison under my belt and have studied combat arts for quite some time. Finally, I'm a card carrying govt. fearing Libertarian. I'm exactly the audience he is writing to, this book is awful. It is so poorly researched and so poorly written that I feel slightly insulted
The ideas he sets forth are logically flawed at best. He taks about how bad the govt is and how our rights are being erroded, but then goes on to advocate that the only way to solve crime is to be afraid of everything and everyone and that the govt needs to start eradicating anyone that might be a criminal. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. The book is full of fear mongering rhetoric and contradictory logic.

If you took the BS out and kept the useful info you would have about five sheets of paper with info you could get from a boy scout handbook.

The author cites statistics that are hopefully a joke (or he is clearly illiterate because very few of them are not the polar opposite of the findings of the studies he cites - when he even bothers to cite sources!). Do yourself a favor and take every "statistic" he claims and reverse it... Actually, don't even bother reading it. Pay a homeless guy a dollar to punch you in the mouth, it is a far better use of your money.
