5Nick Bracco is back!May 14, 2011
By Donald Sprague
Another terrific thriller from Gary Ponzo!
Picking up a couple of years after A Touch of Deceit, Nick, Tommy, Matt and the rest race to save each other (and fair number of other Americans), while they dodge the best efforts of last remnants of the Kurdish Security Force to bring them down.
Gary provides one twist after another, at pace that picks up speed all they way through the final battle, (with it's own ultimate surprise)!
I literally could not put this down once I started it.
Gary Ponzo writes a thoughtful, entertaining and engaging thriller that echoes the best traditions of Ludlum, Baldacci and Deighton.

5Another WinnerMay 15, 2011

I thought "A Touch of Deceit", the first in this series, could not be surpassed. I was wrong! This is a non-stop, action-packed, "can't put this book down" (which I didn't) sequel. The author's writing sweeps you up and into the story, from the first chapter...to the satisfying conclusion. Watch out Ludlum, Coben, Baldacci....here comes Gary Ponzo!

5No disappointment here!!!!May 20, 2011
By Mountain Momma
I love books that start off within the first breath after the last one exhaled in the previous book...

Gary Ponzo is my new favorite author!

The characters are so believable and the story line kept me wanting to continue reading even though my Kindle would fall forward and hit me in the head as I'd fall asleep.

An excellent ending!!! Ohhh... I never saw it coming!

Gary is so good at dropping in bits of real life happenings that add to the pleasure of being 'inside' the book. You become a voyeur standing off to the side watching, being able to divorce yourself from the action of reading... you are THERE!

Thank you, Gary, for not letting this go until you were 100% of where you wanted the book to be! I am sooo anticipating the next book...

3Surprisingly Strong EndingMay 21, 2011
By William Skipper "Pat"
This book is worth reading for the third act, which is highly suspenseful and contains a superb twist.

Getting there is somewhat more problematic. There are times when credulity is strained. For instance, there's a murky character named Buck who appears somewhere near the beginning of the book. Even the author doesn't seem to know what to do with him and quickly gives him the axe.

This novel screams out for a strong editor. For while it's highly entertaining and completely credible in places, the story is often undercut by awkward passages and plot lines.

There's a terrific novel hidden somewhere in these pages. Sadly, A TOUCH OF REVENGE reads like an early draft in places.

4A seamless follow up to A Touch of DeceitMar 29, 2012
By MED "constantly reading"
Ponzo brings back agents Bracco and McColm - once again facing KSH (Kurdish Security Force) terrorists intent on striking on American soil. After killing Kharrazi from the first book in the series, one of his lieutenants is determined to extract revenge.

Nick Bracco retired from the FBI and has become a sheriff in a sleepy town in Arizona. But the terrorists know this and have set up shop under his nose. The plot to take out Bracco includes a hefty price for the state of Arizona as well.

Also back is Tommy Bracco - Nick's cousin and a certified wise guy.

This installment has all the tension of the first, along with entertaining writing and crisp dialogue. Ponzo delivers another plot that is as plausible as it is scary. Another winner - highly recommend.
